Normally I am not someone who likes to take scripture out of context because the way the Bible is written is how God intended it to be. It's not meant for mankind to change the meaning of God's word to fit their life. It's not meant to be misinterpreted or abused. God's word is truth, not just a "feel good story" to be used to help mankind feel good.
However, I do believe that if God wants to use scripture to speak to His people, no matter where it is in the Bible, then He will do just that...after all, He is the author. That is what happened to me this morning. The scripture that I read this morning during my morning devotionals was about David and how God spoke through His prophet Nathan through a dream that God himself will establish David's house. In the context of this Bible story, when God talks about "establishing David's house", He means establishing David's family and growing David's family. However, God used this part of David's story to personally speak to me. God proclaimed a promise to me by using the same promise that God proclaimed to David, only the context of the promise is different between David and I. The promise that God revealed to me is that He is going to establish and build our house in the literal sense. God, himself is going to build our house! This revelation brought me much encouragement, excitement, strength, and peace. It has grown my faith and trust in God's faithfulness. I still may not know how, when, or what, but I'm learning that it is okay to not know. I just need to trust God with whatever, however, and whenever that promise will come to past.
