After an awesome church service and lunch at Pizza Hut (my favorite pizza place, btw) with Brandon's Aunt and Uncle, we decided to enjoy this perfect sunny 70 degree weather on our land. It was so beautiful, and a great way to slow down for a few hours in our busy lives to take in God's beautiful nature. (See "Personal Insights" for more talk about our land). Once we were done soaking up the beauty and sunshine on our land, we went to celebrate an early Easter with Brandon's family. First the younger kids had their turn at an Easter egg hunt....and then it was the "big kids" (Brandon and I) turn. When it's the big kids turn, they can get quite competitive. They will knock each other to the ground if that's what it takes to grab the egg up first. (In the past 6 years that we have been together for Easter, we have taken turns being the winner...but I was the winner today! Whoop whoop!) When the egg hunt was over, we came home to work on some house projects that we have been wanting to do for a while. Brandon worked on re-arranging furniture and started to clean out a room that we have made into a storage room, while I did a few things to the file cabinet that I've been working on and some laundry. We ended the evening with relaxing on the couch. All in all, it was a great Sunday! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

YAY! Finally, the website is fixed and I can get back into blogging again! I have missed it this past week. I'm just going to briefly wrap up the highlights of this past week, so that I can move forward from there. This past week consisted of 1 year old birthdays, visiting babies, having some Pearl time (niece time), cute cat overload...as well as mischievous cat overload, book reading, Initial Outfitters Launch Party, horse dreaming, encouraging faith moment & truth moment, and an early Easter present for both of us. My energy level was pretty low again today, so not a lot happened today, but I still found some ways to make the most of my day. For instance, I made sure to start my day off with my healthy shake, and I decided to add some avocado and a woman's protein shake to it as well, and boy did it make it taste even more delicious!! -------------------------------------------------------For lunch, I had Applebee's with my Mom...which again is something I don't normally get to do during the work week. ------------------------------------------------------I love finding creative and cheap ways to have a date night with my Honey! Tonight we went for a spontaneous nighttime walk around the neighborhood. It was quite peaceful! -------------------------------------------------------And then we had some quality time with our boys :) Feather Fun!!
I have a pink-feathered boa hanging on one of my mirrors in my closet, and someone had a little party when we weren't home or when we were sleeping...hmm I wonder who did it. I enjoyed some Auntie time with my adorable niece, Pearl today!!! -----------------------------------------------------I came home to my Initial Outfitters kit box...a spur of excitement rose inside of me when I saw it! -----------------------------------------------------My favorite music to listen to is country music. I listen to it about 98% of the time. I just love the sound of it, but I also love the messages behind the songs. Today, I took it a little old school and listened to.... ...and... Please see "Personal Insights" about a blog I wrote inspired by the song, " My List". ----------------------------------------------------My husband is a HUGE fan of the Power Rangers, and has been since he was a kid. He literally could have a whole room full of figures that he has collected over the years. (Once we have our house built, we intend on making sure he does have a room to display it all). His little brother is following his same footsteps, as well. And, my brother is and has been a big fan, as well....so it made sense that we all went to go see the new Power Rangers movie in theaters tonight. I, myself was very impressed with how it turned out.
I had a lovely lunch today with my grandma and some of her church friends. I love my grandma so much! We share a very close bond, and I am so grateful for her. She is someone who I can talk to, seek advice about anything and everything, and just enjoy the time spent with her. When I was a child, my grandma used to watch me, and I used to go to all kinds of things with her. I remember going to lunches with her and her girlfriends before, and today was nice to reminiscence and re-live some of those sweet memories.
-------------------------------------------------------I just HAD to get in some more baby time....so my hubby and I poked in for another little visit. I just can't get enough of this cuteness!! -------------------------------------------------------I ended the day with doing another preparation for "Initial Outfitters." Knowing I needed a calendar, I wanted to get one big enough to where I can clearly see when I'm available for parties, and when I'm not. So, I found this black calendar at Walmart for less than a $1.00, but then I added my own little bling to it by using stickers to spice it up a little bit....and whaa laaa!!!
We had the honor and privilege to meet this sweet little bundle of joy, Carson John Seymour! I have never laid eyes on such an adorable little baby boy! The amount of love that I have for this boy is unreal. Although it was a little hard, I know that we will have our turn, and that they will be great buddies :) I am so proud of all of them! Congratulations Ashley Seymour and Corey Seymour ! Your world became even more beautiful! Love you guys very much!! -------------------------------------------------------Lunch with my Honey today, which was nice considering this never happens on a week day. -------------------------------------------------------Since I was little more emotional today, I decided to do a quick little "pick-me-up" in the ways of retail therapy. Shopping can instantly cheer me up....my wallet may say otherwise though ;) But, anyways, here are a few treasures that I snatched up..... -------------------------------------------------------I ended the evening with some friends at a Younique house party. I love going to these in-home parties now! I didn't realize how fun they could be, even if you aren't able to buy anything at the time.
Since I am still off of work this week due to recovery, I am trying to make the most of them before I go back. With having a busy weekend, I was pretty drained, so today was a day of relaxing. However I still made time for some fun things around the house. I started my day waking up to all three of our fur babies beside me. It's always a good morning when that happens ;) ------------------------------------------------------Another fabulous thing to wake up to was realizing that today was the first day of Spring!! And that means Summer is just around the corner...whoop, whoop!! :) This image made the song "What a Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole come to mind, which again I thought was perfect for Spring time. ------------------------------------------------------I also started the day off with another delicious, healthy smoothie. I strongly encourage you to try it! Go to "Recipes" to find the recipe :) ------------------------------------------------------Although I had a lazy day physically, my mind was sure busy preparing for my new business with "Initial Outfitters". I officially became a consultant today, and I am just ecstatic to get through the training and start booking parties!!! I highly encourage those reading this blog to get involved with it, as well. You'll be glad you did! :)
------------------------------------------------------Before the day ended, I did feel the urge to get out of the house some, so as the sun was setting, I started a DIY project that I have been planning to do for a few days. Here are some before and after pictures..... Stay tuned for the rest of the project and the final completion!! :) -------------------------------------------------------I started this blog with kitty cats, and so I'm going to end this blog with kitty cats. Sundays are always special when you start the day off with being in the Lord's Presence and surrounding yourselves with other believers while at church . -------------------------------------------------------Lunch time at one of our new favorite places!! -------------------------------------------------------Nap time :) ------------------------------------------------------
I used to do Shakeology a few months ago, but since my husband and I recently purchased some land this past Summer, I had to cancel my subscription. However, I still like to use the cup to hold my smoothies in. This smoothie was delicious! (Find the recipe that I used under "Recipes"). ------------------------------------------------------Seeing the sunshine and feeling its warmth today made me very happy! I LOVE the sunshine! Sunshine lifts my spirit and sets the mood for the whole day. I enjoy all seasons and types of weather, but to me, nothing can compare to a warm, sunny day. -------------------------------------------------------Visiting family and meeting new people while shopping all at the same time was a little piece of Heaven for me. I am IN LOVE with this new in-home business, and I see some more opportunities with this program in my future ;) -------------------------------------------------------After being out and about this morning, it was nice to come home and relax with my Honey. We watched an episode of "Fixer Upper" for the first time. I now know why a lot of people enjoy this show ;) And of course, I love me some cute kitty time!!! He is such a cutie :) Last, but not least, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Beauty and the Beast at our local theater with my mom and aunt. We were all very impressed with how it was produced. I can't wait to watch it again!!
We had the privilege of meeting our precious baby niece today! Now my hubby and I are blessed with two beautiful nieces to kiss on, hug on, and brag about. They bring us and everyone such joy! :) Meet Violet, born on 3/16/17 And now meet Pearl, born on 7/11/15 ------------------------------------------------------- We also had the privilege of celebrating the life of Brandon's mom (Kim) today. I also cannot say enough about his mom and my mother-in-law. She has been there for us in so many ways. We are both so grateful for her and her tidbits of wisdom. There are numerous "hats" that she wears on a daily basis, but the ones that stick out to me are hard worker, devoted parent, and loyal companion. Needless to say, we are so thankful for all she does! ------------------------------------------------------- I came across this encouraging phrase on my Facebook newsfeed, and I was thankful for the reminder. We as humans may not know His plan for our lives or understand His plan, but in the end, God is orchestrating every big and small piece of our lives. Just like it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God is Sovereign! He knows and created everything, therefore, He sees the bigger picture, even if we as humans do not.
Sometimes those plans are delightful and exhilarating, and other times it may cause us to question, and ask God "why?". The biggest question that I find myself asking is: "why do bad things happen to good people, and to animals?". Although I will probably never understand this while here on Earth, I do know that there is always a reason behind every thing that we as humans do here on Earth. I also know that God is still in control, and that He is Lord over all things. He is the Beginning and the End! He is the Overcomer! We, as children of God, stand in VICTORY because He is the Redeemer, and our Conqueror! So, whatever point you are at on your journey-good or bad-LOOK UP! Stay strong in your Faith, and know that God is with you, and He always will be! "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." -Deuteronomy 31:6 |
