Journal Entry - Day #9

My energy level was pretty low again today, so not a lot happened today, but I still found some ways to make the most of my day. For instance, I made sure to start my day off with my healthy shake, and I decided to add some avocado and a woman's protein shake to it as well, and boy did it make it taste even more delicious!!

-------------------------------------------------------

For lunch, I had Applebee's with my Mom...which again is something I don't normally get to do during the work week.

------------------------------------------------------

I love finding creative and cheap ways to have a date night with my Honey! Tonight we went for a spontaneous nighttime walk around the neighborhood. It was quite peaceful!

And then we had some quality time with our boys :)

Somehow Tigger managed to get his little foot stuck inside Momma's shoe.....
Picture
Oh Tigger! ;)
Feather Fun!!
I have a pink-feathered boa hanging on one of my mirrors in my closet, and someone had a little party when we weren't home or when we were sleeping...hmm I wonder who did it.

How can a culprit look so cute and innocent?!! lol

Nice hat there, Spueakers! ;)

I enjoyed some Auntie time with my adorable niece, Pearl today!!!

She can climb these stairs like a pro!

Selfie at 21 months haha
Picture
I was trying really hard to get a good picture, but she kept moving haha.
Picture
That's a little better ;)
Picture
She was rocking her kitties back and forth..so sweet!

-----------------------------------------------------

I came home to my Initial Outfitters kit box...a spur of excitement rose inside of me when I saw it!

-----------------------------------------------------

My favorite music to listen to is country music. I listen to it about 98% of the time. I just love the sound of it, but I also love the messages behind the songs. Today, I took it a little old school and listened to....
Picture
...and...
Picture
This song always makes me want to join the services haha...but then it's over, and I'm like, nope, not for me. I'm just not cut out for something like that. But I'm oh-so thankful for the ones that are!!
Please see "Personal Insights" about a blog I wrote inspired by the song, " My List".

My husband is a HUGE fan of the Power Rangers, and has been since he was a kid. He literally could have a whole room full of figures that he has collected over the years. (Once we have our house built, we intend on making sure he does have a room to display it all). His little brother is following his same footsteps, as well. And, my brother is and has been a big fan, as well....so it made sense that we all went to go see the new Power Rangers movie in theaters tonight. I, myself was very impressed with how it turned out.

I had a lovely lunch today with my grandma and some of her church friends. I love my grandma so much! We share a very close bond, and I am so grateful for her. She is someone who I can talk to, seek advice about anything and everything, and just enjoy the time spent with her.

When I was a child, my grandma used to watch me, and I used to go to all kinds of things with her. I remember going to lunches with her and her girlfriends before, and today was nice to reminiscence and re-live some of those sweet memories.
Picture
I also LOVE trying new places to eat. Today, I had the privilege of eating at this unique place that was built back in 1979. Seeing the structure of the place and the antiques was intriguing!
Picture
Such a quaint little place!!
Picture
And they had delicious homemade food...I had a chicken salad sandwich and bread pudding with ice cream on top. I would've taken a picture of the bread pudding, but it was just too yummy to take the time to do so ;)
Picture
There were lots of neat things to see, but this was by far my favorite. I would LOVE to have a bird cage like this one!!
Picture
Some relaxing and tasty hot tea...another little thing that I LOVE!
Picture
They had pretty Spring flowers out front.....Come on Spring weather!!!!

-------------------------------------------------------

I just HAD to get in some more baby time....so my hubby and I poked in for another little visit. I just can't get enough of this cuteness!!

He's so tiny and perfect! Not to mention, he's got beautiful eyes!!

-------------------------------------------------------

I ended the day with doing another preparation for "Initial Outfitters." Knowing I needed a calendar, I wanted to get one big enough to where I can clearly see when I'm available for parties, and when I'm not. So, I found this black calendar at Walmart for less than a $1.00, but then I added my own little bling to it by using stickers to spice it up a little bit....and whaa laaa!!!

We had the honor and privilege to meet this sweet little bundle of joy, Carson John Seymour! I have never laid eyes on such an adorable little baby boy! The amount of love that I have for this boy is unreal. Although it was a little hard, I know that we will have our turn, and that they will be great buddies :) I am so proud of all of them! Congratulations Ashley Seymour and Corey Seymour ! Your world became even more beautiful! Love you guys very much!!

Lunch with my Honey today, which was nice considering this never happens on a week day.

-------------------------------------------------------

Since I was little more emotional today, I decided to do a quick little "pick-me-up" in the ways of retail therapy. Shopping can instantly cheer me up....my wallet may say otherwise though ;) But, anyways, here are a few treasures that I snatched up.....
Picture
I wanted something to keep all of my "Initial Outfitters" supplies in one area, so once I saw this cute box, I had to get it.
Picture
Everything fits perfectly...and I still have room for more.
Picture
I loved this for a center piece! Eventually I will get a taller and thicker candle stick to put in here and maybe some potpourri to put around the candle, but I just put this candle in here so you get the idea.
Picture
I also fell in love with this little charm. I bought the bike from Ross's and the flowers and foam from the Dollar Tree.
Picture
The foam came in white, so I used a dry erase marker to color it brown so it doesn't stick out like a sour thumb. Then I cut the flowers (which was harder than I thought it would be) and poked them through the foam.
Picture
It's home...for now anyways.

-------------------------------------------------------

I ended the evening with some friends at a Younique house party. I love going to these in-home parties now! I didn't realize how fun they could be, even if you aren't able to buy anything at the time.

Journal Entry - Day #5

Since I am still off of work this week due to recovery, I am trying to make the most of them before I go back. With having a busy weekend, I was pretty drained, so today was a day of relaxing. However I still made time for some fun things around the house.

I started my day waking up to all three of our fur babies beside me. It's always a good morning when that happens ;)
Picture
Closest to me is: Bella, In the middle is: Tigger, Furthest away is: Squeakers

------------------------------------------------------

Another fabulous thing to wake up to was realizing that today was the first day of Spring!! And that means Summer is just around the corner...whoop, whoop!! :)
Picture
This image made the song "What a Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole come to mind, which again I thought was perfect for Spring time.

------------------------------------------------------

I also started the day off with another delicious, healthy smoothie. I strongly encourage you to try it! Go to "Recipes" to find the recipe :)
Picture

------------------------------------------------------

Although I had a lazy day physically, my mind was sure busy preparing for my new business with "Initial Outfitters". I officially became a consultant today, and I am just ecstatic to get through the training and start booking parties!!! I highly encourage those reading this blog to get involved with it, as well. You'll be glad you did! :)
Picture
Ordered my starter kit...looking at this price tag, you may think to yourself that it may seem like a lot...but once you find out what all you get with it, you will realize that it's actually a good price for it's value!
Picture
Binder made for record keeping, receipts, notes, etc.
Picture
Pad and pen ready to take notes on training and on conference calls that provide great incite on the business.
Picture
Getting organized....I just hope I can actually keep up with it ;)

------------------------------------------------------

Before the day ended, I did feel the urge to get out of the house some, so as the sun was setting, I started a DIY project that I have been planning to do for a few days. Here are some before and after pictures.....

I started to become a smurf once I was done haha.
Stay tuned for the rest of the project and the final completion!! :)

-------------------------------------------------------

I started this blog with kitty cats, and so I'm going to end this blog with kitty cats.
Picture
Considering the amount of pictures we take of them, by now these two know how to take pictures ;)
Picture
Yikes! His mouth totally looks like a poisonous snake's mouth!
Picture
Haha although it may look like he is about to sneeze or that he's laughing his head off...he's actually just yawning.
Picture
That's a little better. I promise he can be a sweetheart...when he wants to be ;)

I am so stoked to begin this new journey in my life! I just have to book 3 parties and I will officially be a consultant for "Initial Outfitters." This is a really cool in-home business that sells a lot of cute things for all ages, gender, and styles. And the BEST part of it is you can have everything monogramed!! I'm sure I will be posting more about this in the future, so stay tuned for more!! :)

I used to do Shakeology a few months ago, but since my husband and I recently purchased some land this past Summer, I had to cancel my subscription. However, I still like to use the cup to hold my smoothies in. This smoothie was delicious! (Find the recipe that I used under "Recipes").

Seeing the sunshine and feeling its warmth today made me very happy! I LOVE the sunshine! Sunshine lifts my spirit and sets the mood for the whole day. I enjoy all seasons and types of weather, but to me, nothing can compare to a warm, sunny day.

-------------------------------------------------------

Picture
Visiting family and meeting new people while shopping all at the same time was a little piece of Heaven for me. I am IN LOVE with this new in-home business, and I see some more opportunities with this program in my future ;)

-------------------------------------------------------

Picture
After being out and about this morning, it was nice to come home and relax with my Honey. We watched an episode of "Fixer Upper" for the first time. I now know why a lot of people enjoy this show ;)
Picture
And of course, I love me some cute kitty time!!! He is such a cutie :)

Last, but not least, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Beauty and the Beast at our local theater with my mom and aunt. We were all very impressed with how it was produced. I can't wait to watch it again!!

We had the privilege of meeting our precious baby niece today! Now my hubby and I are blessed with two beautiful nieces to kiss on, hug on, and brag about. They bring us and everyone such joy! :)

Kim, Brandon, Me, and Emily (Brandon's sister, who is now 9 years old)
We also had the privilege of celebrating the life of Brandon's mom (Kim) today. I also cannot say enough about his mom and my mother-in-law. She has been there for us in so many ways. We are both so grateful for her and her tidbits of wisdom. There are numerous "hats" that she wears on a daily basis, but the ones that stick out to me are hard worker, devoted parent, and loyal companion. Needless to say, we are so thankful for all she does!

-------------------------------------------------------

Picture
I came across this encouraging phrase on my Facebook newsfeed, and I was thankful for the reminder. We as humans may not know His plan for our lives or understand His plan, but in the end, God is orchestrating every big and small piece of our lives. Just like it says in Jeremiah  29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  God is Sovereign! He knows and created everything, therefore, He sees the bigger picture, even if we as humans do not.

Sometimes those plans are delightful and exhilarating, and other times it may cause us to question, and ask God "why?".  The biggest question that I find myself asking is: "why do bad things happen to good people, and to animals?". Although I will probably never understand this while here on Earth, I do know that there is always a reason behind every thing that we as humans do here on Earth. I also know that God is still in control, and that He is Lord over all things. He is the Beginning and the End! He is the Overcomer! We, as children of God, stand in VICTORY because He is the Redeemer, and our Conqueror!

So, whatever point you are at on your journey-good or bad-LOOK UP! Stay strong in your Faith, and know that God is with you, and He always will be!

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." -Deuteronomy 31:6

This man right here is my hero! I can not say enough about this man. He has been the BEST nurse, companion, friend, and most of all husband! He always is, but he has really stepped up his game this week due to us going through a crisis these past couple of weeks. (I posted about this crisis here, if you wish to read it). He has gone above and beyond to show his love and devotion to me, and I will forever be grateful! God blessed me with a rare and special gift 6 years ago, and God still continues to amaze me with the way He uses Brandon to pour out His love on me.

-------------------------------------------------------

Picture
The enormous amount of support, care, and love that we have received from family, friends, church family, and co-workers over the past few weeks has been INCREDIBLE! We have been overwhelmed by the generosity from so many. Between cards, gift cards, dinners, texts, calls, messages, and prayers, we have felt the comfort from everyone in this time of heartache. We are so beyond thankful and humbled by all of it!
