Today's adventures led us to Woodstock/Edinburg, VA where we got to wave to this Veteran who stands on the 81 overpass and waves to everyone who passes by. He does this on every single military holiday, rain or shine, cold or hot. It makes me so proud to see him consistently honoring his country. We then stopped for a bite to eat at Carmella's. This is our second time time eating at Carmella's and we have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Their food is very good and they have a southern hospitality to offer to anyone who comes in the door. I had a chicken ceaser wrap with a side of Sun Chips and Brandon had a homemade BBQ meatball sub with a side of Sun Chips...both were delicious. And although I was getting full, I couldn't say no to their warm, homemade blueberry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream on top..Mmmmmm!

After our adventures in town, we celebrated my brother's and Aunt's birthday. My brother is turning 30 and my Aunt is turning 50, thus the name "Flirty 30, Nifty 50". We played games, won prizes,  had yummy food and cake, and enjoyed much needed family time!
